Clean Cotton: 16 Organic Cotton Resources
I talked on Wednesday about more of the trouble with conventional cotton, but don’t fret, my fellow seamsters! There are plenty of organic cotton resources out there to help you sew cute without any green guilt.
There are all kinds of companies – big and small – that are printing gorgeous designs on organic cotton and hemp/organic cotton blends. There are not only a range of company sizes here but prices as well. In general, smaller companies that can’t afford to buy in volume do have to charge more to make ends meet, and I think that’s OK! When you support the little guy, you’re helping these indie designers make a living from their creativity.
3. greenSTYLE from Robert Kaufman – this features designs from a number of designers
4. Harmony Art
5. Spoonflower – they offer both conventional and organic on-demand printing, so you can get any design you choose on any fabric. Just choose an organic option!
10. Swanky Swell
11. Daisy Janie
12. Spin Spin
13. Ink and Spindle
15. Home Sweet
16. Simplifi – not all of their fabric are organic, but they do have a great selection of organic cotton prints and notions
