Whipping up a Pinterest-worthy project at the drop of a dime is tough. So this is your opportunity to get organized before holiday hecticness sets in!

This time of year zooms by. And even though our schedules are dominated by awesomely fun things like decorating and baking, craft-time is uber-important. But whipping up a Pinterest-worthy project at the drop of a dime is tough. So this is your opportunity to get organized! Start collecting these items – and you’ll be all set for some of the adventures I have planned for you in the weeks to come.

Holiday Craft Ideas

Beer Bottles
I realize that some of you could probably acquire this item on very short notice. But for those of you who only have a beer or two on the weekend, start collecting those beautiful brown bottles now. You’re going to need 5-12 for a gorgeous Thanksgiving centerpiece.
If you really want to get ahead, remove all the labels. I just love the rich, seasonal hue of these bottles. You’re going to absolutely love what I have up my sleeve.

Small Containers
When I dug into my craft stash, I was mortified by all the hair product containers I’ve been collecting. Then I realized I’ve been saving them for years. I haven’t done much with them because I was looking for a little inspiration. Well now I’ve got one! I’m making an advent calendar!
Random sizes work best. And any small container will work. Baby food jars, beauty product jars, and prescription bottles are perfect for this project.
Whatever you choose needs to be big enough that a small treat or present will fit inside. This advent calendar is going to be a show-stopper!

Boxes
I love a sturdy box. High end candy stores and super expensive smart phones have the best ones! So what can we do with a box? Oh so much! Once we decoupage, hot glue, and add a few bells and whistles – these boxes will be transformed into works of art for gift giving and for holding holiday keepsakes.

You don’t drink? You don’t have small containers or boxes? Put the word out now and start collecting! We’ve got some serious holiday crafting to do!

Happy Holidays!
