What to do with old bath towels? Try this trick!

Need an idea for what to do with old bath towels that are past their prime? Turn them into cute wash cloths!

You can soak ’em in Oxy Clean and wash ’em with vinegar, but after a while those old bath towels just bite the dust. Maybe they have a hole or a stain or are fraying on the edges. Whatever the reason, you don’t have to send your old bath towels to the landfill! Beth Huntington at eHow shows you what to do with old bath towels.

The tutorial uses bias tape to transform an old towel into a very cute set of matching wash cloths! To make your own, you’ll need:

  • bias tape – perhaps some handmade bias tape, for a super personal touch?
  • an old towel
  • fabric shears
  • cutting mat or ruler
  • washable fabric marker
  • canning jar lid (optional)
  • straight pins
  • sewing machine and thread
