Spotted: DIY Sequin Top [no sew!]

No-Sew DIY Sequin Top

No-Sew DIY Sequin Top

Turn a thrifted men’s t-shirt into a cute DIY sequin top. No sewing required!

You don’t need sewing skills to make a DIY sequin top. T-shirts are made with jersey knit  fabric. Unlike woven fabrics – like the sort used to make most button-up shirts – knits don’t fray when you cut them. That means no hemming or sewing!

This DIY sequin top by Ann at I Love to Create uses fabric glue to add the sequins. That means no painstaking sewing there, either. Just dot your glue, press on your sequin, and move on to the next one.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own DIY sequin top:

+ Oversized men’s tee in black. Hit the thrift store – there are usually TONS of tees that would work for this tutorial.

+ Tulip Premium Sequins in Black

+ Tulip Premium Sequins in Gold

+ Tulip Fashion Glitter Bond or Aleene’s Fabric Fusion

+ Scissors

+ Aluminum foil
