April Stash Bust: Five Projects to Bust That Fabric Stash

Fabric Scrap Banner
Kelly talked a bit about the April Stash Bust, and we’re pretty excited about busting our stashes around here! That “use what you have” mentality is part of the heart of green crafting, and there are so many fun, creative ways to take the supplies you have on hand and turn them into something wonderful. Here are a few stash busting projects for those fabric scraps!

1. Fabric Scrap Banner

Bunting is one of my favorite projects to make with scrap fabric. It’s lovely hung in your spring garden or around your home. You can even make pretty, themed bunting to decorate for holidays and special occasions. Here’s a quickie tutorial for making your own bunting from scrap fabric.

  1. Love ALL of this! I made bunting for my son’s birthday in feb and it was a total hit. I haven’t used balloons in who knows when but wanted to make the place look festive, so I finally took all my scraps from my OWN stash busting project
which kind of ended up creating more scraps in the end because I kept finding vintage pillowcases at thrift shops that simply needed to be a part of the quilt. I love the bunting though and it is about to be put outside for Easter. I will be making more too, it is just such a happy thing to have up around your house!
