Homemade Granola
Your granola gift is easy peasy to make! Just follow the recipe below, which makes about 3 cups – one and a half pints – of granola. You can scale this recipe up or down to fill as many mason jars as you like. I’d recommend using quart-sized jars. A pint jar of granola feels a little chintzy to me. This recipe fits nicely into a quart jar.
Ingredients
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds (or nuts or seeds of your choice)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup olive oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 250F.
- Combine the oats, almonds, maple syrup, and oil on your baking tray, stirring carefully to get everything well-coated.
- Bake for an 60 to 90 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to cook evenly. You’re done baking when everything looks nice and toasty.
- Transfer to your mason jar and toss in the dried cranberries. After you make the granola, just download and print out our recipe cards, cut them out, punch a hole, and tie one to each jar.
