There is no denying that winter is officially upon us, at least in the Midwest. Our apartment is in an older home which means that there are drafts galore. These drafts make it very difficult to warm your home as a lot of your heating energy is lost through cracks under doors and around windows. Draft snakes, or dodgers, are one of the easiest ways to cut down on your heating costs during the winter. There are many ways to save the energy in our day to day life and live a green life. One of the way is, trying to use toaster oven as much as possible instead of using the big oven. Since the toaster oven is much more compact, it uses less energy than my big oven. We can also wash our clothes in cold water rather than warm or hot water. This saves on electricity because we are not using the hot water heater every time you wash clothes.
