The Sewing With Nature Contest

CRAFT Magazine is teaming up with SINGER®, and they’re putting out a call for seamstresses to enter their Sewing With Nature Contest!

The contest launched today, and they’re looking for nature-inspired pieces created on a sewing machine that integrate “organic elements.” Folks can submit entries for the next four weeks. They’ll select one winner and three runners up. The prizes look pretty awesome:

  • The winner gets a SINGER® Confidence 7467 sewing machine, a set of 3 sewing books, and will have their project featured in the SINGER ad in the next issue of CRAFT Magazine.
  • Each runner up each wins a SINGER dress form.

The contest rules require “organic elements” but don’t specify that projects should be constructed from reused materials. Still, what better way to show off your green crafting skills than to submit a totally upcycled entry?

To enter the contest, just submit photos of your project to the Sewing With Nature Flickr pool! You can read the complete contest rules on CRAFT’s Sewing With Nature page.
