Crease the top of the letter piece a half-inch to one side, being consistent with each letter piece, and sew it down to form a casing. Trim any uneven bits of fabric away from the unfinished seam.
Thread a piece of twine or ribbon through the casing that you’ve made at the top of each letter piece, until you’ve strung your word in order. Double-check that the word is correct from the reverse side, as well, and then you’re ready to mount your inspirational saying wherever you need a little boost.
