Paint your stencils with the highest quality fabric paint that you can afford. Use a sponge brush, dabbing instead of brushing, and take extra care not to push paint at the edge of your stencil. If you do, it will cause a little bleed-through, which will marr the clean lines of your stencil somewhat, but it’s not an emergency if it does happen.
Peel the freezer paper off of the fabric when the fabric paint is dry to the touch, and heat-set the fabric paint according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
