How to: Make a Tank Top from a T-Shirt

Yesterday, I posted a tutorial on how to make a skirt using an adult t-shirt. The same method can be used to make a shirred tank top. Here is how:
The steps to make this tank top are the same as the skirt from yesterday so refer to that post for detailed instructions.

But briefly, the steps are as follows:

Cut the shirt under the arm pit, across the chest.

    This is so pretty! I’m usually not a fan of chopping up tshirts as a lot of customizing techniques for them give a really gappy, frayed look (cool if you like that, but just not my thing), but this is a truly lovely one πŸ™‚

      Depending on the color and the print, this can work very well under a sweater.
