Sew and Cut
Put your contrasting pieces of felt together, pin them in place, then sew all the way around the edge, leaving about 1/8″ seam.
Take a ruler and a pencil, and draw an X across one side of the felt, from corner to corner, like in the photo above. Make another mark 1 3/4″ from each corner on those lines, so you have 4 marks – one on each line segment.
Grab your scissors and snip the felt along the lines from each corner down to the mark. Once you’re done snipping, your felt will look like this:
You’re ready to fold!
