3. Spider Silk
Traditional silk comes from the silkworm, but it turns out that spiders can spin silk, too. This fabric might have a low footprint, but it takes a lot of golden orb spiders to yield a small amount of fabric. A creepy mental image, but pretty fascinating, too!
