Celebrate Earth Day by supporting Retrash — a new book about upcycling, recycling, and living a sustainable lifestyle.
Nathan Divine, founder of the website Retrash, has spent the last 3 years finding different ways to inspire people to rethink the way they look at trash. He decided to put all of his findings in a coffee table book by the same name (Retrash). The book is a culmination of incredible projects and ideas from 82 talented designers. I had the opportunity to take a sneak peek at the book and it is awesome, guys! Each project inspires me to ponder on every piece of my trash — “what can I use this for?” To coincide with Earth Day, Nathan has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to print the book (on 100% recycled paper, of course).
Want to see a sneak peek of a few of the projects you’ll find inside the book?
There’s a chair made from paper books from designer Alvaro Tamarit, a paper flower from Liz Hamman, broken pottery jewelry from Deanna Mattos Diefenbach, wine cork heart art from Cat Ivins, and an upcycled guitar shelf from Battlay Liviu. Aren’t they all awesome? You’ll find even more sweet projects in the book!
In the Retrash Kickstarter video, Divine explains, “Retrash tells a story about human ingenuity, creativity, and imagination, which is something we all have within us.” Support their story and let their story be heard by others by donating to their Kickstarter campaign and spreading the word about Retrash!
