You can add a variety of other embellishments to your popcorn garland–beads, cranberries, buttons, dyed dry pasta, cereal, non-sticky candy, etc. Just don’t forget to factor in the fact that for every piece of popcorn that you string, you’ll eat at least a dozen–popcorn is tasty!

I'm interested in recycling and nature crafts, food security, STEM education, and the DIY lifestyle, however it's manifested--making myself some underwear out of T-shirts? Done it. Teaching myself guitar? Doing it right now.

Cute! I never would have thought to “paint” the popcorn.
Spritzing it worked out MUCH better than my original plan of “Oh, I’ll just dunk it in the dye real quick!”. Yeah…no.
I just love this idea! And I’m from the south too and yeah I get it needing colored. Ooo ya know a great purple and yellow for LSU would be great in the front yards Christmas tree. =) Thanks for the idea.
If you are not going to dye it Razorback red, then I just don’t know what I’m going to do with you!
