Like I said in my How To: Recycled Paper Fall Wreath tutorial, I am so excited for fall! I saw this adorable jar project from Eighteeen25 on Pinterest a long time ago and tucked it away for the future. This week I pulled it out of the archives and made my own fall version!

What You Will Need:

1. Jars. I used small canning jars.

2. Permanent marker

3. One book page or other recycled paper

4. School glue. If you can, use eco-glue!

5. Scissors

How To Do It:

1. First, I used coffee to stain my book page like Julie did in her How To: Antique Paper Using Coffee Staining post. You don’t have to stain yours, but I wanted mine to be darker for the “fall” theme. For more information on other natural stains, check out our DIY: Make Natural Non Toxic Dye post!

2. Once the page was dry, I drew bubble letters onto the book page.

3. Cut out the bubble letters.

4. Mix your glue with a little bit of water. I used a small paint brush to brush it onto the jar. Then, place your letter on the jar and brush more glue on top. Basically, you’re decoupaging the letter to the jar.

5. Let your jars dry. Once they are dry, take a damp cloth and wipe off the excess glue around the letter.

Here’s how they look after you remove the excess glue:

You can place the fall jars on your mantle, book shelf, table, etc! Where would you put yours?
