Seattle caterer Herban Feast recently announced they have opened a new design studio. The Herban Design Studio will offer a full spectrum of event design services including guided DIY workshops, party and event rentals, event styling, floral design, and party favors.

The distinctive Herban Design studio is managed by resident designer, floral artist, design expert and studio coordinator Chad Burnworth. Chad is known for his striking use of botanicals, natural and found objects in his designs.

The Herban Design Studio is located in Sodo and is a large multi-functional space complete with everything you need to design your dream event.

“As a full service catering company, clients often asked for additional help – from finding other event resources and vendors to selecting a theme and creating décor items that will make their event extraordinary and personal,” said BJ Duft, owner of Herban Feast. “Now, we can enhance this support with a beautiful space to plan, create and visualize everything from the overall event concept, including expert event and floral design, to the special details like coming up with ideas for handmade items like place cards, centerpieces, and guest gifts for their special day.”

The new design studio features hanging selections of linens, handcrafted favors, napkin wraps, centerpiece botanicals and floral arrangements, cake stands, and apothecary jars, and is rich with other resources as well all prefect for clients who wish to design weddings, parties, galas, and other special events.

Design packages include basic rentals, rentals with use of the DIY craft space, guided design sessions, and complete event styling and floral design by Burnworth. The 1,800 square-foot studio can also be rented for a variety of uses and will host private and public design workshops and classes. This is fabulous for those who wish to go DIY while having experts at their disposal for help or to answer questions.

The very first Herban Design workshop, “Natural Botanical Centerpiece Creation” will take place on February 23, 2011. The fee is $65 a person and includes all needed materials along with guided instruction for event centerpiece creation.

The Herban Design Studio is also available for event planners to meet clients and discuss event details, and visiting designers can use the space for onsite preparation during events at Sodo Park.
