You can stencil with freezer paper. Cut out any shape with an exacto knife, iron the shiny side down, then paint with fabric paint. Peel off the freezer paper and you have an instant semi-silk screened pattern.

    1. Freezer paper is a paper that’s lined with light plastic on the other side. Shiny plastic side is where you put your food and wrap it to freeze. But crafters found that the shiny side can be ironed onto fabric to make the paper adhere temporarily. So this applique technique works great! One major brand in the U.S. is called Reynolds but other companies make them too. Thanks for asking! 🙂
