Center each dried apple slice on top of your wreath guide, and overlap each slice to form a circle, gluing the slices together as you go with either hot glue or an epoxy glue like E6000. The best way to glue each apple slice is underneath the part that overlaps, so that none of the glue will show–you want it to look as if the wreath is held together with magic!

I can agree with organic apples for eating, but for drying purposes, I am less picky. In fact, cleaning out the produce drawer church refrigerator of slightly wrinkled red (not) delicious apples suits (and sometimes oranges) me fine, for crafting purposes.
