Fab Fabrics: Swanky Swell

Swanky Swell Wing Back ChairI think it is important to support new indie designers and made in USA products.  On that note, I love these new fabrics by Swanky Swell.  I am currently gazing at my new sample pack and dreaming up all the wonderful things I can make with this beautiful fabric.Swanky Swell FabricsSwanky Swell was founded by interior designer, Nina Jizhar, as a personal project to showcase her love of textile design.  She designs all the fabrics herself.  They are hand-screenprinted on 100% cotton in San Francisco, CA.  The fabric is perfect for upholstery, home décor projects, and crafting.  I am dreaming of the Raindrops pattern in split pea for drapes in my family room.

Swanky Swell ChairNina has started a Flickr group to showcase all your projects made with Swanky Swell fabrics.  If you post photos you will get free shipping on your next purchase.  Nina has kicked off the group with a couple amazing projects of her own like this Chinese chippendale chair featuring the foliage design and the amazing wingback chair at top featuring the raindrops design.

Be sure to check out these other Fab Fabrics made in the USA:

  2. I am an interior designer in Canada, who specializes in organic fabrics. I just received new fabric samples from J. Ennis Fabrics, made from certified organic cotton and bamboo. They are perfect for upholstery and bedding and come in coordinating prints and solids. The book is called Simply Natural – contact me if you’d like more info!
