Fab Fabrics: Moxie’s Vintage Fabric Stash

It’s no secret that I love sewing with vintage fabric. Linens and remnants from back in the day just feel like they have a story attached to them. Not only are you giving something old a brand new life, you get to add to its history.

Sometimes it’s a bit tricky to track down a good variety of vintage fabric, but Megan over at Moxie makes it a bit easier with her fantastical selection of vintage fabrics!

Moxie has a fantastical selection of vintage prints, from florals to stripes to polkadots. Confession: I’m sort of a sucker for polkadots and am totally coveting this blue 60’s polkadot sateen cotton!

As usual, my first instinct is a skirt. Maybe this simple ruffle skirt from The Long Thread? It looks like a lot of Megan’s fabrics are sturdy, too, which would make them great for projects like pillows or maybe reupholstering a worn out chair cushion or two!

You can check out Megan’s fabric stash over at the Moxie Etsy shop. If you’re in the Dekalb, Illinois area, you might pop into her brick and mortar shop, too!

  1. My childhood bedroom was decorated in the flower fabric posted above… curtains, bedspread… toy chest even! What a fabulous blast from my past! Awwwww…. feeling nostalgic for sure!

  2. Hi Becky! I feel so special and honored that you featured me and my stash of fun fabrics on your wonderful site. Thanks so much and have a happy day! Megan

  3. I actually still have the toy chest, one pillowcase and the comforter…keep in mind I was born in 1968! The comforter is too delicate to use but I can’t let go of it. I wonder if we could trace my love of textile design back to this design… hummmmmmmm…. maybe!
