Giveaway: Win a Pack of 100 New “Green” Cards from MOO

Green MOO Cards

Have you ever gazed longingly at the MOO website and wished that their beautiful cards were eco-friendly, so that you could order a set guilt-free? Well, gaze no more! The folks at MOO reached out to let us know that they have a new range of ‘green’ business cards that are 100% recycled and recyclable and even manufactured using wind power. Yay! If only I’d known before the Summit, I would have included them on our Green Crafty Resources infographic.

Not only are they launching an eco-friendly line of cards, but they want to give away three sets of 100 MOO cards each to some lucky Crafting a Green World readers! Since I know lots of you guys own crafty businesses, I thought you might dig a chance to try out some eco-friendly promo materials from a small company. There are a few ways that you can enter to win your set of 100 MOO cards:

  • Comment on this post with what you’d print on your MOO cards.
  • Join our Facebook community, and let us know with a separate comment here.
  • Tweet about the giveaway, and let us know with a comment here.

Just remember to leave a separate comment for each entry, so we can be sure to count them all! We’ll announce the winner on Wednesday, November 9th!

From the info on the MOO page, it looks like the main difference between the green cards and typical MOO cards is that the green version isn’t reflective, which makes a lot of sense. That reflective coating is most likely plastic, so leaving it off makes it more eco-friendly. It looks like the green cards are also a slightly heavier weight paper. MOO’s conventional cards are none-too-shabby on the eco front, either. They source that paper from sustainably managed forests, which some folks argue is just as good as recycled or possibly even better.

I haven’t seen these cards in person yet, but MOO is also going to send me a set of their recycled cards to review for you guys. If they’re anything like the other MOO cards I’ve seen, I bet that they’re gorgeous. More on that when my set of cards arrives on my doorstep!

  1. Hmmm…tough one. I think I’d have several of my crafted goods put on cards. Perhaps my 3.5 year old in her Ponyo Halloween costume because she looks darn cute in it and it captures what I can do with a sewing machine.

  2. I would love to have these cards, I am a small company on a tight budget and need desperately to grow.
I create great new products using recycled materials, I love to create using any materials I find. I love the organic natural feel of things too.

  3. I just started a lending library for wedding goods and decor (yep – you can BORROW wedding decor for free!). I would use the Moo cards (which I think are AWESOME) to print out details about this new lending library to provide to brides-to-be, bridal vendors and parents of the bride. I would include pictures of some of the things I have in my inventory and of course my contact details (website, etc.).

  4. The one with the buttons is really cute, but the Hello Hello Again and Space Invaders ones are pretty adorable, too! 😮 It would be hard to choose between them all ^^;;

  5. I would love to win eco friendly cards to re-launch my web design business! What a lovely idea & something I didn’t really think about before.

  6. Since I sell knit stuff, I think those cards would be an excellent way to showcase the line of organic plant dyed yarns I will be featuring in my next line!

  7. Yes! I do gaze longingly at MOO cards. They are cute AND earth friendly! Love! I would print a set with my blog website and contact info to give out when I set up at craft shows.

  8. I would print the “green” Moo cards to use as tags for my recycled craft items. I never knew Moo had them.

  9. I would say Linda’s Jewelry and More -Handmade and Infused with Love ! and there would be butterflies flying on the card either monarch or morpho butterfly

  10. I LOVE MOO cards! I was planning on getting some printed up anyway because I’m a Zumba instructor and wanted to do some of my own marketing! I’d love to win some of these new cards though!!

  11. When I’m unhappy with a watercolor or a painting, I recycle it into a business card. They are pretty funky 🙂

I’d love to have some grown up cards. I’d put a picture of corks in there.

    Thank you!!!!

  12. I like to occasionally send out cards in the mail to just say hi in a different manner then text, facebook, or email.

  13. I LOVE MOO cards and have purchased them in the past for my photography and life coaching biz. HOWEVER, if I won a set of the new very eco-friendly cards, I would use them to feature photos of the animals at my favorite animal sanctuary in Maryland and provide info on the back of the card about the sanctuary and how to sponsor an animal. I love taking photos of these gorgeous, lovable animals and think this would be a great way to make more people aware of their need for more support! I had previously tried MOO’s eco-friendly cards, but am very excited to hear that they now have 100% recycled cards! Thanks for this opportunity! Crossing my fingers! Cheers! ~ Cindi

  14. luuuve MOO cards! I guess I would put some pictures I took in our beautiful European landscapes on them…

  15. I would have much needed business cards made for my etsy shop! I’ll still have them done even if I don’t win…..

  16. I recently opened an Etsy store and would use MOO cards to promote my business. Funny thing I was actually contemplating ordering some after the holidays.

  17. I would use the MOO cards for my Etsy shop Washboard Felts! They would say Washboard Felts – Hand-felted accessories. Handcrafted in small batches”. Thanks so much for this awesome giveaway!

  18. How wonderful! I would use it for ETSY promotion as well, I just changed the name and address of my shop and really need some new promotional material. As an eco crafter I love the idea of them being really eco friendly!

  19. Green MOO cards would certainly fit in with my work ethosof using recycled and eco-friendly materials as much as possible. Don’t know what I’d put on them but I can decide that when/if I win!

  20. What would I put on my MOO cards? I do mixed media with recycled fabrics and old clothes combined with paint and random papers – previously discarded and otherwise. I have SO many little corners of my work that I could capture on MOO cards! Then I can spread the love and the word on recycling our old papers and clothes!
