Fab Fabrics: Retro Organic Cotton from Birch Fabrics

Birch Fabrics

Cynthia from Birch Fabrics is a Mother to two little boys, ages two and five. When she had a tough time tracking down cute, organic fabrics to make them clothing and bedding, she decided to do something about it! Birch Fabrics was born.

She says that she chose organic cotton because of her family’s health:

My husband had very bad asthma as a child, and both of my boys showed some early signs of allergies, so it was important for me to keep our house as limited to known allergens as possible. We started with detergents and cleaning products, and have since moved on to our food and clothing. Granted we are not completely there. There just aren’t enough choices right now for fabrics and clothing, but I’m hoping we will get there.

Birch Fabrics features throwback-style prints that make you think of a 50’s or 60’s beach vacation. All of their fabric is 100% GOTS certified organic cotton.

Their debut collection, Circa 50 by Monaluna is available from a number of different stockists, and they’ve got two new collections on the way. “Marine” by Dan Stiles and “Circa 60: Beach Mod” also by Monaluna are coming out in November and December.
