Fish Lips Eco-Wrapping Paper: A Crafty Green Business

Kimi Chronis is the owner and designer of Fish Lips Paper Designs, a classy and eco-friendly wrapping paper company based in Florida.

Fish Lips is a one woman show that is a great example of what someone can do with a little creativity and the desire to offer earth friendly products.

All of their gift wraps are designed, printed and packaged in the USA on 100% DE-INKED recycled paper (with a minimum of 50% PCW) using non-toxic soy inks. The paper stock is a 71 lb satin finish which is luxurious and thick.

Fish Lips wrapping papers are available for resale in individual sheets (22″ x 33.75″) or “rolls” of 2 sheets. The sheets are meant to be displayed on a large rack (like an oversized magazine rack). The rolls do not have a cardboard core (in an effort to reduce use and subsequent waste of materials) and are wrapped in a recyclable plastic.

Fish Lips even refrains from putting any sticker type labels on the rolls so that the packaging also remains 100% recyclable.

The retail prices are $4 for a gift wrap sheet and $8 per two sheet roll. That’s a great price for such high quality eco-friendly gift wrap. And the wrapping paper is so thick and beautiful you’ll probably find many ways to creatively craft with it.

I personally love the chilly dogs design, cute little wiener dogs wearing antlers, how cute.
