A Review of Craftcycle by Heidi Boyd

CraftcycleCraftcycle by Heidi Boyd is one of the newest eco-crafting books to hit the bookshelves and one of the best. With super creative, crafty and ingenious ideas this book is a keeper.

With over 100 eco-friendly projects plus eco-living tips and ideas, this is a book that is going to be on many  “greenies” wish lists.

A few of the super creative and super cute crafts include the Owl Clothespin Holder crafted from a t-shirt, the Pebble Coasters, the CD Disco Ball, Miniature Doll Shoe Bracelet (if you have little girls they’ll probably love this one), the Matchbook Ornaments, the Altered Pins (super cute), and the Sweet Sweater Birds (I want to make these so bad).

What I like most about Craftcycle, other than the awesome crafts, is that there are full color photos, some step by step color photos, complete how to directions, and drawings and charts that help you really understand how to make these projects. There’s even handy little tips and project notes where the author mentions what has worked best for her and even what hasn’t.

Craftcycle even contains some yummy “green” recipes for chicken noodle soup, carrot cake, black bean soup, pumpkin bread, black and white bean salsa, and other very delicious sounding foods.

With all the great ideas and recipes I am not sure whether I should keep it with my craft books or my cookbooks. Either way this book is a keeper. Another one with must do craft ideas for the holidays.
