The Handmade Spa, Part One

As you may have noticed we’re smitten with our glorious handmade skinnyskinny soaps featured below:

This season I also noticed the Green and Clean Guild of Esty handmade soap makers have some fabulous summer soother recipes. Another bathing beauty crafter I like is Alchemic Muse, a popular Green and Clean Guild member, who makes a fantastic cocoa bee soap:

This honeybee soap features:

“fragrant sweet honey and propolis intermingled with rich cocoa, delectable spice, and a touch of warm bitter almond.

Cocoa contains natural antioxidants known to rejuvenate and restore skin. An added touch of cinnamon and black pepper boosts skin circulation. Honey and coconut milk condition and soften skin while creating an extra bubbly lather.”

Shown above is a featured super soap sale from the Etsy Green and Clean Guild

Stay tuned for aromatherapy healing scrubs like this delightful tangerine sugar blend below inspire handmade scrubs and soaking blends.

  2. This is definitely something I’m interested in looking into more… my problem is I was diagnosed with rosacea about 5 months ago, and am not having much luck in finding eco-friendly stuff I can put on my face as a result. (Most of the DIY recipes I find uses witch hazel, which is apparently a big no-no.) I don’t suppose you know if any of the Etsy sellers have anything geared towards that, do you?
