2. Playing Card Hair Combs
My pal Christy has an awesome project in the book Bead Simple for turning stray playing cards into cute hair combs.
I bet that playing cards would work well as coasters, too, since they’re normally already coated. You could probably just glue 3-4 layers of recycled felt to the bottom and be all set! Or, you could glue a stack of the cards themselves together with diluted Eco Glue!

I’ve used old board games to decorate my sons’ room–just hang the boards on the wall with tacks. (The playing pieces were lost long ago)
