Five Handmade Christmas Ornaments to Green Your Holidays

5. Painted Tile Ornaments

Got some tiles left over from a renovation project? Small tiles are a lovely canvas for creating DIY ornaments. Just make sure you clean them well and use an oil based paint. To attach a ribbon to the back, use strong glue, like E6000.

If you don’t have any tile laying around and still want to give this one a go, try looking in reuse shops, like the Habitat for Humanity Restore, for odd tiles that need a little love.

Have you made your own recycled ornaments? Share away in the comments or in the Crafting a Green World Flickr pool!
