Crafters Making a Difference

Red Scarf Project

This is another one for the knit and crochet crowd. The Orphan Foundation of America (OFA) collects handmade, red scarves between September 1 and December 15 of each year and puts them together into Valentine’s Day care packages. These packages go out in February to OFA students who are in college or trade school.

OFA has a downloadable pattern for folks who want to knit a scarf.

  1. I have been following dollydonations.blogspot.com
Sarah started making dolls and collecting dolls to send to Haiti after the earthquake, and has been busy with other drives ever since. I love being able to use my scrap fabric with her cute dolly pattern to make fun dollies.
