Recently we shared some favorite handmade spa beauty highlights here on Crafting a Green World, and here is another spotlight on ways to create your own summer spa soothers from your own kitchen cupboard.

Below are some easy DIY tips to make your own homemade spa products such as refreshing sea salt scrubs, rose and cucumber facials, white and green tea spritzers and more. All of these ingredients are best organic and very easy to find.

Sea salt scrubs: mixing invigorating essential oils with mineral rich sea salts is the best way to feel an inner and outer glow while cleansing. Sea salt easily eliminates tired skin and instead reveal a healthy new salt scrubbed body. Mix jojoba, almond or coconut oil as the base for this.

Green and white tea skin refreshing spritzers: Mix deeply steeped white or green tea in a spritzer with rose water or rose witch hazel (optional) for a splash of cool antioxidants to cool down in the hotter months.

Cucumber facials: Mash cucumbers or simply slice them for a superbly cooling summer facial. Yep, it’s that easy.

Oatmeal masks: mix oatmeal for a soothing and healing face mask. Oatmeal is a fantastic exfoliating mask when it is scrubbed off gently with warm water and a washcloth.
