DIY Pet Projects: Make a Fabric Bow for Your Pet’s Collar
DIY pet projects are a great way to show your pet some love! Get crafty and make a fabric bow for your pet’s collar.
After yesterday’s post on 35 incredible DIY pet projects, I was inspired to make my own project for my pup, Venti! Like I shared yesterday, there are a lot of products on the market that are not good for my pup or the environment. Instead of buying products from big box pet stores, opt to make your own! This week, I decided to jazz up Venti’s collar with an adorable fabric bow that says “I’m ready for spring!”
What You Will Need:
2. Pinking shears
3. Hot glue/hot glue gun
4. Your pet’s collar
How to Do It:
1. Cut a small square out of your fabric with your pinking shears. Then, cut a small rectangle piece as well. The rectangle piece can be from the same fabric, or a coordinating fabric.
2. Scrunch the fabric together. I simply folded the fabric back and forth, back and forth.
3. The rectangle piece that you cut in step 1 will become the middle part of the bow. With your hot glue gun, wrap and glue one small portion of the rectangle piece around the middle of your scrunched fabric. It should look like this once you’re finished:
4. The remaining fabric of the rectangle piece will wrap around your pet’s collar. Simply wrap it tightly around the collar and hot glue the fabric to itself (that way you don’t have to hot glue it to the actual collar).
Once the hot glue has completely dried, put the collar on your pet! Venti told me she totally loves it!
What do you think? Would your pet love something special like this fabric bow?
