playing with chalkboard blocksWhen it comes to homeschooling my kiddos, I’m a sucker for two things: new and different building sets and new and different art activities. And when I can combine the two? Well, then oh, my goodness–I am in heaven!

The girls and I sometimes paint building blocks with acrylic paint, and although they often use the seascapes and rainbows and street scenes that are painted on those blocks in their play, I guessed that they would really like a set of blocks that they could re-decorate for every game.

Combine that with my penchant for painting everything with chalkboard paint (have you seen my tutorial for turning an old globe into a chalkboard globe? It’s so worth the effort!), and my girls now have a complete set of building blocks that they spend every day drawing on, playing with, then wiping off for drawing on again later.
