DIY for Environmentalists: Crafting, Making, Project How-to's, and more!

I always seem to accumulate a stash of unloved clothes picked over from my closet. This pile consists of clothes that are no longer fit, or need heavy mending, or have acquired an unbeatable stain. I keep this pile with dreams of swapping with friends or donating to Goodwill. But now ReSew, a new book out by Jenny Wilding Cardon has me eyeing my discard pile with a new eye.
Hi there! I'm Becky Striepe, a green crafter and vegan foodie living in Atlanta, Georgia with my husband and two cats. My mission is to make eco-friendly crafts and vegan food accessible to anyone who wants to give them a go.
Hello! My name is Bonnie Getchell and overall, I'm a craft nerd! I love making crafts, re-doing furniture, and anything along those lines. I especially love creating items that are from recycled materials like toilet paper rolls, bottles, etc. There are so many items that can be transformed and repurposed into something beautiful!
If you would like to see more of my work, I also have my own craft blog called Revolutionaries (http://bonniegetchell.blogspot.com).
I'm the lucky momma of two little blonde daddy-clones--we spend our days doing elaborate art projects, trashing the house, eating cheese cubes and oranges, and waiting for my partner to get home from his day job so we can pester him. When I'm off-duty, I drink coffee and make junk out of other junk. Why buy my kid a pair of panties for $3 when I can spend four hours figuring out how to make it out of an old T-shirt I got for free? Trust me, it really is fun. Visit my blog at www.craftknife.blogspot.com or my etsy shop at www.pumpkinbear.etsy.com for more of my awesomeness.
