Fab Fabrics: Vintage Finds from JoonE

You know we love vintage fabrics around here and second hand supplies make it easy as pie to be eco-friendly. Sure, they may have had a sizable footprint when they were created, but by crafting with gently used vintage fabrics, you’re giving that fabric a new life and diverting the waste from the landfill.

I love hitting up thrift stores and estate sales to scour for the best vintage finds, but sometimes it’s nice when someone does the work for you. That’s where vintage sellers like JoonE come in! Joon digs through the ugly prints and tacky patterns to find those hidden, vintage gems that are perfect for crafting!

Joon explains why eco-friendly materials are important to her:

I abhor waste and I love the challenge of taking discarded bits of our society and salvaging them to recreate something useful, positive and unique. I love folk art which is my main inspiration and influence. I love the surprise.

A stay at home mother of four, Joon launched her eco-friendly business in 1995. She now maintains four Etsy shops featuring her vintage finds and her eco-friendly handmade wares. You can find her fabric selections in her vintage shop.
