I'm a 60 year old mother of four daughters and six grandchildren. I love this book. The directions for creating the items in the book were clear and easy to follow, even if you are a beginner. I love that I can create a project in a matter of hours or work with a child, and the project is special and will be treasured. This book takes me back to the 70's when I was a new mother. Clearly, this book will be a classic along with Amanda's other book "the creative family". In a busy world where some mothers work outside the home, grandmothers and others can help create and nurture an environment that brings creativity and peace. " Handmade Home" and" the Creative Family" would be great gifts for a baby shower. Long after the cute clothes etc. are forgotten, this book will still be in use. LOVELY BOOK!
