I found a great recipe for making your own sugaring goop. I found that it works as well as the stuff I've bought, and it's super easy and you know what's in it. The recipe can be found here: http://www.spaindex.com/HomeSpa/Sugaring.htm

Katie - I bet that would work alright. Maybe just reducing the water to make up for the extra liquid from the Doc Bronners. Doctor Bronner also has bar soap, I think, if you want to try cutting a sliver off of a bar and using my high-tech "throw it in the blender" method!

Great post! I may have to try the shampoo recipe, if I can figure out how to adapt Dr Bronners liquid soap for the soap flakes.

I make different creams, balms and lotions, along with tinctures and herb oils. There are some great books out there.

Salt scrub sounds delightful! Was the recipe similar to sugar scrub, but with large grain salt and peppermint essential oil?

I made peppermint salt scrub for Christmas presents. My mom loved hers and she's hard to please!
