I’m amazed and dissapointed that none of these listings are actually organic textiles..! You do realize that all of these inks these designers print with are chemical based, don’t you??
And cotton is the big no no of the sustainable textile industry..!
You need to do a bit of research if you are gonna blog about eco-textiles again.

You know that none of these finished fabrics are certified organicn once they have been printed with these inks, right?
All of the above designers have used water soluble/ eco-friendly/ non-toxic etc…inks.
These are all made with chemicals, just slightly less bad than other chemical inks.
If you actually want to buy organic printed fabric, you need to buy fabric that has been printed with organic vegetable/mineral based dyes, which do not contain, nor have been processed with chemicals.

Let me just ask one thing: moms love organic, kids love dinosaurs, so where in the heck are the organic Dino prints?! Are the designers sensibilities extinct as well?? Argington blew it by running with a blah boring print even my 3yr old disdains, yet remains the only choice out there. I’ve been googling organic fabric since before he was born but am disappointed by the repetitive lack of variety and only seeing a bit more vibrant color being utilized this year. How many geometric & leaf prints more before everyone is bored to death? Sigh….

Etsy rocks in terms of the vibrancy of colors and craft skill. A lot of the Etsy artists use printed organic cotton, from fabric companies like Atlantis fabrics. I saw some of their prints at: http://store.fabrics-textiles.com . I think they custom print too, but im not exactly sure about their minimums.
