Fabulous Fabrics: Green Depot on Etsy

Green Depot Hemp FabricGreen Depot, fabulous source for eco-friendly fabrics on Etsy, aims to help promote green living by offering supplies to make sustainable products.  The Green Depot selection of fabrics includes organic cotton, hemp, and other sustainable fabric blends.  They carry a wide variety of textures and colors, including stripes.  Green Depot also carries vintage pillowcases, hankies, and tablecloths just screaming to be upcycled.  All fabrics are sold by the yard with prices starting at only $6/yd!

Tina Bossy, the mastermind behind Green Depot, started her first business Bossy Baby about 6 years ago.  Bossy Baby is an eco-responsible children’s clothing label featuring organic cotton and vintage fabrics.  With a 15 year history designing children’s clothing and access to fabric suppliers, Tina has decided to dabble into the textile world.  Green Depot has been open less than 3 weeks, but is already generating sales and a small following on Etsy.

  5. Michael you had a great question. I checked with Tina about where the Green Depot fabrics are made.

Her certified organic cottons are all sewn/knitted and processed in the USA. They use a low reactive dye process.

The Hemp and Hemp/PET blends are fair trade from China.

The vintage trims are all source locally. The vintage fabrics are sourced from Northern America, UK, and Australia, but most come from USA.
