I know this reply in months late but only just found this site. In future, definitely consider pajamas!

I have made many from thrift store sheets and from ones I rescued on Freecycle. I make them for the whole family and we just love them. I do not believe I could buy any that are as soft and comfortable as the ones I make.

I recently made a pair from flannel sheets for the winter and they are just so soft and warm I doubt I will want to take them off - luckily I made myself 2 pairs. From 2 double sheets I can make a pair for myself, hubby & our 9yo daughter with a bit left over for other small items.
