Looking for a pair of handmade, wool slippers, (boiled)? And with little "grippers" on the sole. Saw some at the craft fair in East Burke a few weeks ago and meant to go back and get a pair from the woman who makes them, but got sidetracked with our friends and never did go back. If anyone can help me to locate her or someone else that makes them, (kind of like a clog, but with a back)I would very much appreciate! Karen

What sources do you have for wool in which the animals are treated with the utmost care and respect? What a gift they have "offered" to us when they give up their wooly coats for our comfort. I'm very interested in finding wool that I can knit with and feel good about using. I have used some wool yarns without really thinking about the animals that they have come from. Since I have been educated in regard to the way that the animals are treated, as product, rather than living beings, I'm hesitant to continue to use wool from unethical sources. Can anyone help with suggestions? Organic is great but at what cost still to the animals?
